During the first nine years of my professional life, I was a high school world history teacher. Though I found it rewarding, the most impactful year was when I piloted a digital classroom project for my school district. All my students had iPads, and the results exceeded my expectations.
At first, I wasn't certain what to expect. Yet, I was convinced that students would gain significantly from having easy access to resources and tools to improve their learning. While some subjects required a conventional approach, digital tools allowed students to go beyond basic understanding and apply their knowledge through creative and investigative activities.
Based on my experience, I felt inspired to transition from the classroom to become an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher. I greatly enjoyed partnering with students of all ages and their teachers to discover the best learning methods for everyone.
As a Google Certified Trainer, I am committed to discovering ways to make Google Workspace for Education effective in the classroom, supporting both student learning and teacher efficiency.
